The Jonathon Club was incorporated in 1895 and is still going today in Los Angeles.  It was chartered as a “private social club and as L.A. transformed, the club’s aura grew.

The Jonathan Club cigars counter in the lobby of the Jonathan Club at 545 South Figueroa in Los Angeles had three rows with fifteen boxes of cigars in each row in the center of the glass case counter. The corner of the counter on the left had loose tobacco and pipes. Pipes and boxes of cigars were stored in cases on the wall behind the counter

The 13-story headquarters built for the club still houses it today at 6th & Figueroa..
